FCF's Mission Statement:
The Fair Contracting Foundation promotes prevailing wage law education, compliance and enforcement. It advocates for practices, policies and laws that ensure fair government contracts, a strong local industry and protection of the public interest.
Compliance – FCF helps ensure that the Minnesota Prevailing Wage and related laws are upheld and followed on public construction projects throughout the state through investigation, tracking and filing complaints. On a more limited basis, FCF helps with Davis-Bacon compliance on federal construction projects as well.
Legislative Developments – FCF keeps its finger on the pulse of legislative developments at the Capitol that impact Prevailing Wage and related laws. FCF understands that compliance with the law requires close monitoring of any legislative changes.
Education – FCF helps educate workers and contractors about Prevailing Wage laws and the public policies behind them. Minnesota and Federal Prevailing Wage laws have been around for decades, so there is a rich history and a lot to learn. FCF is available to perform training sessions, speak on prevailing wage-related topics and to help organize events promoting awareness about Prevailing Wage policy and law.
Advocacy for Workers, Taxpayers & the Local Economy – FCF serves the public interest by verifying that public projects are done in compliance with Prevailing Wage laws. In doing so, FCF is working for a safer, more prosperous Minnesota.
